Common Questions

Q: Do I need to report even if we settled privately?

Yes. Under Singapore's MCF, all accidents must be reported to your insurer within 24 hours or the next working day, regardless of how you settle.

Q: Will my NCD be affected by just reporting?

Reporting alone does not affect your NCD. If you are not at fault and costs are recovered from the third party, your NCD remains fully intact.

Q: What is 'excess' and do I have to pay it?

Excess is the out-of-pocket amount you pay on an Own-Damage claim. For Third-Party claims (where the other driver is at fault), you typically do not pay excess.

Q: Can I choose Flash Automotive as my repairer?

If you are the non-fault party making a Third-Party claim, you have the legal right to choose your repairer. For Own-Damage claims, check if your policy allows 'Any Workshop' repairs.
